Cruising the dam at Blyde River Canyon
Explore Blyde River Canyon via boat during a 90 minute cruise on the Blyderivierspoort Dam in Mpumalanga. Keep a watchful eye for the abundance of wildlife – hippo, leopard, crocodiles and fish eagle call the dam home.
The highlights are the rare living Kadishi Tufa waterfall and the Three Rondavels high above.
Kadishi Tufa waterfall is 200m high and is the second tallest tufa waterfall on Earth.
It strikingly resembles a crying face which is why it is known as ‘the weeping face of nature’.
The boat ride is a special way to experience the wilderness of Blyde River Canyon.
