And if you’re wondering where the name Eight Feet originated – it’s the culmination of four brothers Pieter-Steph, Johan, Anton and Daniel Du Toit – who together make up four pairs of feet. Steeped in family tradition, the brothers were raised on Kloovenburg Wine & Olive Estate in Riebeek Valley and clearly remember eight feet dangling off the back of a bakkie as children, enjoying the never-ending views of the valley. Now, as adults they’ve paved their own paths but it all leads back to where their Eight Feet take them.

The wine brand was first crafted in 1997 when their father Pieter Du Toit together with his four sons created Kloovenburg wine together as a family. Eight Feet wine followed later and can be purchased at the village store too.
The concept is simple, grab a bite to eat and soak up the surroundings on the expansive wooden deck with the container-chic building.
The restaurant serves up hot meals for breakfast and lunch – don’t miss out on the wood-fired pizza – and a shop to stock up on memories, but the uninterrupted views steal the spotlight time and time again.
