Ferrari shifts to all-electric or hybrid vehicles by 2030
Ferrari is synonymous with speed and is known for its powerful engines. On Thursday, June 16 Ferrari revealed plans to make 80% of their cars all-electric or hybrid by 2030.
This is a major shift for the supercar brand.
Ferrari’s first 100% electric car will be launched in 2025. It will be an all-electric sports car.
“Electrification is a way to improve performance,” said Ferrari’s chief executive Benedetto Vigna during the announcement.
Commercial director Enrico Galliera pledged to deliver an electric car with the same emotions you experience when driving a Ferrari now. No technical details have been revealed so far.
A further 15 new vehicles will be unveiled between 2023 and 2026.
