Volkswagen Tiguan R revs into South Africa

Last week, Volkswagen launched its most powerful SUV, the Tiguan R, in South Africa. A mix between adventure and sport, the new release will join Volkswagen’s T SUV range which includes the T-Cross, Taigo, T-Roc, Tiguan, Tiguan Allspace and Touareg.

You won’t resist putting your peddle to the metal with an impressive power output of 235kW, and acceleration from100 km/h in just 5.1 seconds. It is an all-wheel drive system with a top speed of 250 km/h. The four-cylinder engine provides its maximum torque of 400Nm as low as 2 100 rpm and maintains this high torque at a constant level up to 5 350 rpm.
