Trailing the Peninsula along Robberg Hiking Trail

The Robberg Hiking Trail near Plettenberg Bay in the Western Cape is one of the most popular trails within the Garden Route. The circular route hugs the Robberg Peninsula coastline and the views are majestic.

Three routes with scenic views:

1. Hike to the Gap and back to the car park (2km).

2. Walk to The Witsand sand dune, down to the Island and back around (4km).

3. The Point round trip is 11km and takes about 4 hours, depending on your fitness level. This is not recommended for young children.

Carry enough food and water and ensure your fitness level matches the trail.

Key features include beautiful wild flowers, birds and enthralling views. The trail is used to hike, walk, run, and take in all nature has to offer.

 Accommodation available:

Fountain Shack on the beachfront which is remotely located. Note that all your luggage has to be carried to the chalet and back during your stay. It is magnificent nonetheless.
